Universal Seafoods was established in 1985.  Universal Seafoods originally focused on sourcing whole unprocessed prawns directly from local fishermen in Western Australia, and processing and providing quality peeled prawn meat direct to restaurants.

Over time, Universal Seafoods has increased its product range from peeled prawn meat to all types of processed and unproccesed seafood (including whole prawns, cooked prawns, crabs, whole fish, fish fillets, squid, oysters and other types of seafood).

As its business continued to grow, Universal Seafoods began sourcing seafood from other parts of Australia and also internationally, in order to meet its customers’ needs, while continuing to meet strict quality controls.

Universal Seafoods now supplies to restaurants, hotels, wholesalers, supermarket chains, franchises, food service operators and retail shops all around Australia (including regional areas).
